Anne V. Rigney, a crusader for women’s rights who worked with Susan B. Anthony, has died. She was 108.

Rigney, who died Saturday at a nursing home, was born in New London, Conn., and in 1906 she moved to Providence, where she worked in a department store, sold encyclopedias and joined forces with Anthony.

“I worked very hard to get the vote with Susan Anthony,” Rigney said in 1980 on her 100th birthday.
