Not Even Back Seat
The headline, “L.A. to Take Back Seat for Getty Cash” (May 15) seems in error. From the article, one has to conclude that Los Angeles (and the United States) won’t be on the bus at all. The newly appointed director is clearly a person with an Asian and “Third World” experience.
While, certainly, I am not so parochial as to not wish to see the money shared outside the United States, John Sanday’s criteria seem to almost totally exclude the U.S.
As a black, I have some awareness of bus seating arrangements and no bus service at all.
