But apparently Jackson’s music didn’t unite quite enough Frenchmen in the southern city of Lyon, for his June 23 concert there has been canceled because of lack of interest, promoters said Tuesday night. Only 16,000 of a hoped-for 30,000 tickets had been sold for the Jackson concert. Music industry sources in the nearby French city of Montpellier said a concert there by Jackson was also in doubt after weak ticket sales.
