BIA Makes 100th Education Grant to Student at UC
Joseph LaClair, a graduate student at UC Berkeley’s Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, has received a $1,000 scholarship from the California Building Industry Foundation, the 100th such grant since the program began in 1985.
Grants range from $250 to $1,000 and currently more than $55,000 is being provided by the foundation for 100 scholarships at 45 institutions of higher learning throughout California, according to Emmett S. Clifford, foundation chairman.
The foundation is the educational and research arm of Sacramento-based California Building Industry Assn.
