Granada Hills, which advanced beyond the quarterfinals for the first time, plays Westchester, a 59-39 winner over Saddleback, in a semifinal game at noon today at El Camino College.

“He’s really tough when he gets the ball inside. He’s very active,” Granada Hills assistant Louis Cicciari said of Brown, who averaged 15.6 points and 12.6 rebounds last season.

Cleveland, Kennedy and Taft will be among league opponents.

“I think these kids have a lot of confidence already, but every time we go out and win gives them that much more,” Cicciari said.

Granada Hills 66, Montebello 55--Brown was also a key figure in this fourth-round game, scoring 26 points to lead the Highlanders.

Teammate Jamal Brantley scored 13 and Johnson added 10.
