Private Terms, the beaten favorite in this year’s Kentucky Derby, won the 25th running of the $105,625 Governor’s Cup Handicap at Baltimore.
The 126-pound topweight and 1-10 favorite in a field of four 3-year-olds led all the way to defeat Freezes by six lengths in 1:49 4/5 for 1 1/8 miles.
Private Terms paid $2.20 and $2.10. Freezes returned $2.40.
