Ireland’s John Doherty, running the 5,000 meters, and Kenya’s Peter Koech, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, each recorded fastest times in the world this year in a Mobil Grand Prix track and field meet at Stockholm.

Doherty ran the 5,000 in 13 minutes 17.14 seconds, and Koech took the lead at the last obstacle and finished the steeplechase in 8:15.69.

Said Aouita of Morocco, who holds four world records, won the 1,500 meters in 3:35.70.
