Nixon Leaves Hospital After Hernia Surgery

NEW YORK — Former President Richard M. Nixon was discharged Friday from a hospital after successful hernia surgery, a spokeswoman said. Nixon was admitted Wednesday and underwent surgery under local anesthesia Thursday morning, she said.
