Dash for Cash Derby at Los Alamitos : Easygo Effort Wins by a Neck
The combination of jockey Henry Garcia and trainer Bob Baffert proved to be a winning one again when Easygo Effort sped to a neck victory over Passem Dirty in the $124,000 Dash For Cash Derby Saturday night at Los Alamitos.
Earlier this season, Garcia and Baffert teamed up to win the Los Alamitos Derby with Zure Hope Again.
After breaking in front, Easygo Effort held off late bids by Passem Dirty and Cash Legacy to win the 440-yard race in 21.79 seconds. Dashing Val finished fourth in the field of 10 three-year-olds. Easygo Effort earned $47,120 to increase his total to $361,232.
Easygo Effort paid $8, $3.80 and $3.60; Passem Dirty returned $4.20 and $3.60; Cash Legacy paid $6.60.
