A rookie Alameda County sheriff’s deputy faces arraignment today on multiple counts of sexually assaulting a young girl. Michael Pointes, 32, of San Lorenzo, is being held in lieu of $95,000 bail at an undisclosed location, according to a statement released by the Sheriff’s Department. Pointes has been placed on administrative leave pending arraignment in San Leandro-Hayward Municipal Court. The alleged victim was under the age of 14, the statment said. No further details were released.
