PLATTEVILLE, Wis. —
The Chicago Bears said today they are trading wide receiver Willie Gault to the Los Angeles Raiders in exchange for a first-round draft pick in 1989 and a 1990 draft choice to be named later.
Gault, who has not shown up for training camp this year, was the Bears’ last contract holdout. Last year Gault led the Bear receivers with 35 receptions for 705 yards and seven touchdowns. He has a career total of 184 catches for 3,650 yards and 27 touchdowns.
