“The Big Store.” MGM/UA. $19.95. 1941. The Marx Brothers proved they could turn out a truly awful film with this clunker. Fortunately, MGM/UA is including a 1937 MGM short on the tape and is also re-releasing “A Night at the Opera” and three other classics from the gloriously silly siblings at the same price.

“New Moon.” MGM/UA. $19.95. 1940. A lesser Nelson Eddy-Jeanette MacDonald musical, but featuring notable Hammerstein-Romberg score. The best thing about this tape may be the added short, Robert Benchley’s hilarious “How to Sleep.” Also re-released at this price: “Maytime,” “Naughty Marietta,” “Rose-Marie.”
