Conrad on the Palestinians

A political cartoon by its very nature over simplifies an issue to make an often painful point. That is understandable. But Conrad’s cartoon does not merely simplify. By use of the analogy to the “an apple a day” jingle, it trivializes a tragic situation which is heartbreaking to Jews and Arabs alike. There is nothing playful about the bloodshed on both sides.
