Tour Bus No Match for an Angry Woman
A woman fed up with a slow-moving tour bus that was holding up a long line of cars on a winding two-lane highway took the law into her own hands and placed the driver under citizen’s arrest.
But while Karla Andersdatter’s action made her something of a folk heroine in Muir Beach, the California Highway Patrol has decided not to file her complaint with the Marin County district attorney’s office.
“We investigated it and found that there was no reasonable place for a bus to make a pullover,” CHP Officer Mark Pieschke said Friday. “There was no infraction involved.”
Andersdatter, 50, conducted her arrest on Tuesday. She said she and dozens of other drivers were stuck behind a Gray Line tour bus for eight miles on the Shoreline Highway.
