A Marine private was killed when a soda vending machine toppled over on him, a spokesman for the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego said. The 19-year-old Marine, whose name and hometown were not released pending notification of relatives, apparently rocked the machine after it malfunctioned, a Marine spokesman said.
