Luhan’s Contributions
Jack Smith’s insipid column on Mabel Dodge Luhan (July 27) fails to convey her many contributions. She was instrumental in the Pueblo Indian cause and was responsible for the expansion of American culture by introducing artists, writers and musicians to the Southwest.
Perhaps a better title for Smith’s column would be “Dead Woman Has Extramarital Affairs.” Frankly, I wonder if Smith ever got off the tour bus.
