**THE MOODY BLUES. “Sur La Mer” Polygram/Threshold. The Moodies are repeating their same old themes without providing any further insight into them. “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere,” the first single off their 12th studio album, is a regurgitated version of their ’86 hit, “Your Wildest Dreams,” which brought the veteran rock band back to the Top 10 for the first time in 14 years. But “Dreams” itself was a paler version of “The Voice,” the centerpiece of their 1981 epic “Long Distance Voyager” LP. The music for the most part remains catchy and likable, but superficial. The group breaks its pattern only occasionally, most successfully on the eerie “Breaking Point.” “Here Comes the Weekend,” an otherwise invigorating groove, is marred by its weak chorus lyric. In the end, there’s nothing here quite as involving as “The Voice,” probably the best song from their post-’78 reunion period.
