San Jose officials, who two weeks ago forced a family to remove 25 tons of garbage from their house, have performed the dirty deed again--this time at another dwelling. The city condemned another house and put three children into protective custody after finding rubbish, flies and feces throughout the residence. In court documents, city housing inspector Lisa Cobler said the homeowner, William Beene, “threatened to shoot the next person who bothered him.” Inspectors--who found piles of rubbish and clothing on floors, walkways and blocking the corridors--declared the house to be an “immediate threat to public health and safety.” Two weeks ago, the city forced an elderly couple and their three sons to remove 25 tons of garbage from their house in the downtown area.
