Local News in Brief : Countywide : OCTD to Again Run Buses to Rams Games
With the pro football season less than a month away, the Orange County Transit District has announced it will again offer express service to and from Los Angeles Rams games at Anaheim Stadium.
There will be nine pickup points around the county: Brea-Olinda High School, Irvine Valley College, Mission Viejo Mall, Laguna Hills Mall Park-N-Ride, Newport Center Fashion Island, Costa Mesa Town Center, Rossmoor Center, Leisure World and Golden West College.
One-way fare for adults is $1.60; children under 7 can ride free. Riders may buy a season pass good for all games for $27.
The dates for regular season Rams home games, which begin at 1 p.m., are Sept. 11, Oct. 2, Oct. 16, Oct. 23, Nov. 13, Nov. 20, and Dec. 11. A game is also scheduled for 6 p.m. on Dec. 5. For bus departure times, riders can call (714) 636-RIDE.
The season passes are available at the transit district administration building, 11222 Acacia Parkway in Garden Grove. They also may be ordered by phone, at (714) 636-RIDE; or by mail addressed to OCTD, P.O. Box 3005, Garden Grove, 92642-3005. Mail orders should include a check, money order or major credit card number, and letters should be marked, Attention: Pass Sales.
