. . . Talk about the best laid plans. The San Diego Area Dance Alliance was hoping to increase the visibility of our local dance community by maintaining a booth at this week’s meeting of the Western Alliance of Arts Administrators in San Diego. But as Tom Corcoran of the local dance alliance said, “We didn’t get it. We were only on a waiting list and didn’t know until the last minute whether there would be space available. It’s too bad San Diego won’t be represented when the booking agents come around. But Three’s Company and California Ballet will still have the opportunity to make contacts at the conference, and that’s what matters.” They had to make contacts on their own, but a booth would have been nice. The conference, which brought hundreds of arts people from around the country, sponsored workshops and exhibits through Friday at the Town and Country Hotel.
