I am outraged at the lack of direction in “The 40th Annual Emmy Awards.” Lorne Michaels had done nothing to spice up the show. He simply crossed the Emmys with “Saturday Night Live.” This awards ceremony began with a silly skit featuring two characters from “Saturday Night Live” and was left to drag itself onward toward its boring conclusion.
