After weeks of relative stagnation, the Top 10 places on the Billboard magazine chart of top-selling albums is starting to shake, rattle and roll again. Though the top four spots remained holdovers from the previous week, this week’s charts boast two new entries into the Top 10: Bobby McFerrin’s improbable smash, “Simple Pleasures,” at No. 5 and Metallica’s “ . . . And Justice for All,” which has rocketed to No. 6 in just three weeks. Simmering below the surface are Bobby Brown’s “Don’t Be Cruel” (now at No. 14) and Joan Jett’s “Up Your Alley” (at No. 21). Both albums are aided by hot singles, but Def Leppard’s “Love Bites,” from its LP “Hysteria,” is the No. 1 single this week.

* “New Jersey,” the latest effort from Jon Bon Jovi and his mates debuted on the charts at No. 8. Look for this new LP to break up the Def Leppard/Guns N’ Roses stranglehold on the top of the chart quite soon.
