Michael Jackson donated $50,000 last week to launch a foundation in Britain that will aid underprivileged students in the areas of sports and arts. “The Michael Jackson/Wembley Arts and Sports Foundation” will award scholarships and raise additional funds to, Jackson said in a statement, “help talented youths who could not realize their dreams without financial assistance.” Wembley Stadium has said it will match Jackson’s donation to keep the project ongoing. “I wanted to give something back to the community for the overwhelming support they showed me,” Jackson said.
