Local News in Brief : San Juan Capistrano : Collision on Freeway Injures Three People
Rescue workers had to cut a 21-year-old man out of his car early Tuesday after a high-speed collision in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in San Juan Capistrano.
A heavy fog may have contributed to the crash, which left two others injured, Orange County Fire Department officials said. According to paramedic reports, the accident occurred when a Chevrolet Nova carrying two men collided with a Saab driven by a 31-year-old woman.
The 21-year-old driver of the Nova, whose name was not released, suffered moderate injuries, paramedics said. His passenger, who also was not identified, suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Saab was also injured, but no further information was available on any of the victims.
