A 22-year-old Lakeside man was killed in a head-on accident early Saturday morning in East County.
Thomas Hall Berkshire Jr. was killed after the pickup truck in which he was riding crossed the center line of Oak Creek Drive and collided with another pickup truck, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m., just south of Eucalyptus Hills Road.
Injured in the crash were Michael Gummerman, 19, of Lakeside, who was driving with Berkshire, and Stephen Tessler, 25, also of Lakeside, who was driving the second pickup.
