Local News in Brief : Tampa Avenue Freeway Ramps to Be Closed
The Tampa Avenue eastbound and westbound off-ramps on the Ventura Freeway will be closed this weekend for road construction, state Department of Transportation officials said.
The ramps will be closed from 9 tonight until 5 a.m. Monday, said Caltrans spokeswoman George-Ann Rosenberg. The right lane on both sides of Tampa Avenue at the construction site also will be closed for the same period, she said.
Motorists are advised to use the Winnetka Avenue eastbound and westbound off-ramps, she said.
Workers will be resurfacing and restriping the roadway, she said, as well as replacing guardrails along the ramps as part of the Ventura Freeway improvement project.
