Beverly Hills : Sign Code Amended
The City Council voted to amend the city’s Sign Code to allow analog clocks--which have a traditional faces and hands--on sides of buildings.
The decision clears the way for a large analog clock to be placed on a project called “Village on Canon” at Canon Drive and Dayton Way. The clock was banned under the city’s sign ordinance, which prohibits all moving signs.
The amendment does not allow digital clocks or analog clocks with advertising. All clocks must be cleared by the city’s Architectural Commission.
