An attorney for the Country Club vowed Thursday that the Reseda entertainment venue will continue operating despite the Los Angeles City Council Planning and Environment Committee’s denial of its alcohol and dancing permit on Tuesday. The committee sided with the club’s residential neighbors, who had complained of the noise and unruliness of the club’s patrons--mostly metal-lovers and hard-rock fans. A police report cited 65 undefined “criminal incidents” at the club in the past two years. But attorney Scott Z. Adler said that the club will now concentrate on drawing patrons not interested in buying liquor. “I’m afraid you might end up with a teen club out there,” he said.
