Chain Saws Used in Rescue of Whales Put on Display

PORTLAND, Ore. —
Chain saws used to help rescue two California gray whales from the Arctic ice went on display Thursday at the World Forestry Center. A channel that led the whales to a Soviet icebreaker was cut by chain saws donated by Omark Industries. Also on display are photographs taken by two Omark employees during the rescue effort.
