The Orange County Transit District fired a bus driver who allowed a passenger to drive his bus through Anaheim. The incident began on Oct. 22 when Kim Miller, 36, yelled a racial slur at a Latino passenger who failed to put enough money in the fare box, according to police. Officers said another passenger, James Biddle, chastised Miller for being rude, and Miller replied, “If you don’t like it, you can drive it.” Biddle then got behind the wheel and drove off, leaving Miller on the sidewalk. Police said Biddle drove for several blocks, picking up and dropping off passengers, before officers stopped the bus and cited him for joy-riding.
