Bell : Breakfast to Promote Adopt-a-School Program

More than 100 representatives from business and education are expected to attend a breakfast today staged by the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Adopt-a-School Program from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Bell Community Center, 6250 Pine Ave., Bell.

Andrew Cazares, assistant superintendent for the district’s Region B, which includes parts of Los Angeles and six Southeast cities, will give the welcome address.

The Adopt-a-School Program, which has existed for more than 10 years, allows businesses to adopt individual schools and help them in a variety of ways, including donating equipment, materials, personnel and scholarships.

Those attending the breakfast will share their ideas and experiences in building and enhancing relationships between businesses and schools.
