Eighty-seven new child molestation charges were added Tuesday against a Ramona man arraigned last week on 98 similar charges.
Ezra John Adams, 42, pleaded innocent to the new charges, which now total 185 counts involving three girls, ages 8 to 12.
His bail was doubled to $500,000 in light of the new charges by San Diego Municipal Judge Robert McDonald.
The 87 new charges involve the alleged molestation of a 12-year-old girl for conduct earlier this year.
Deputy Dist. Atty. Aaron Katz said his office is investigating reports that five other children may have been molested. More charges could still be filed, he said.
Adams’ preliminary hearing was reset for Dec. 7 and a bail review is scheduled for Monday.
Adams is a heavy-machinery operator. He remains in County Jail.
