**BIG COUNTRY. “Peace in Our Time.” Reprise. Remember when this Scottish quartet stood shoulder to shoulder with U2 as one of rock’s great hopes of the ‘80s? If not, this album won’t remind you. Those rousing, bagpipe-like guitars and martial rhythms that were the band’s early trademarks are still there, but now they sound rote and perfunctory. “I still touch the vision,” sings head Country-man Stuart Adamson at one point. Perhaps he does, but he now seems powerless to share it.
