A 29-year-old Canoga Park woman was found shot to death Tuesday in a car parked at the side of Santa Susana Pass Road in an undeveloped area of Chatsworth, Los Angeles police said.

No motive for the killing had been discovered, police said. The woman’s name was not released pending notification of her family.

A bicyclist riding in the 22600 block of Santa Susana Pass Road about 11 a.m. saw the woman’s body slumped over in the driver’s seat of a white Mitsubishi, police said. The car was parked on a curve in an isolated, hilly area, police said.

The woman had been shot in the upper body from the passenger side of the car, police said. Bullets also struck the door and shattered the window on the driver’s side of the vehicle, police said.

Lt. Harvie Eubank said investigators believe the killing occurred between 9 and 11 a.m. Authorities are seeking witnesses who might have seen the car in the area, he said.
