Police in Pomona arrested 33 people during an eight-hour sting operation designed to scare away potential drug buyers.
One police officer was slightly injured when a suspected drug buyer tried to escape in a car while the officer leaned into the open window, Sgt. Kevin Rogan said. The officer was dragged a short distance until he managed to pull himself into the moving car and punch the driver into submission, Rogan said.
During Pomona’s third anti-drug sting operation in the last two weeks, undercover police officers posed as rock cocaine dealers in the northeast section of the city Thursday night.
