Local News in Brief : Suspect in 2 Studio Slayings Moved to Hospital’s Jail Ward

Nathan N. Trupp, a former mental patient from New Jersey arrested in the slayings of two Universal Studios security guards, was transferred Saturday to the jail ward at County-USC Medical Center.

Trupp, who was in stable condition with gunshot wounds to his chest and arm, had been admitted to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank on Thursday after he was shot and captured outside Universal Studios.

He was arrested in the killing of two guards after demanding to see actor Michael Landon, who is not under contract with the studio. He also has been accused of killing three people in a bagel shop in Albuquerque, N.M. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators planned to question Trupp on Saturday after the transfer.
