Miller Leads Fullerton Women in Basketball
Gena Miller scored 26 points to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 82-73 victory over U.S. International University Wednesday night in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Fullerton.
The Titans (4-1) led, 23-9, with 9 minutes left in the first half. Miller had 8 points in that span. Fullerton led at halftime, 43-22.
Miller made 11 of 16 shots from the field. She also had 7 rebounds.
Kathy Werth made 8 of 13 shots and scored 24 points for the Titans. She also had 13 rebounds.
Jill Matyuch added 10 points for Fullerton, and teammate Stacy Hunt had 9 assists.
Sonya Carter scored 24 points for USIU.
