Local News in Brief : Irvine : Applications Available for Spring Semester

Applications are being accepted for Irvine Valley College spring classes, which begin Jan. 9. New students are encouraged to apply before the holidays to avoid crowds anticipated after the first of the year, said Noelia Vela, vice president of student services.

Before students register, they must complete a state-mandated program of assessment, orientation and academic advisement, Vela said. Applications are available in the admissions and registration office, Building A100, 5500 Irvine Center Drive, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.
