Local News in Brief : 2 on Cycle Die After Hitting Back of Big Rig

Two men were killed Monday when the motorcycle they were riding slammed into the back of a big-rig truck in Sylmar, police said.
The victims, whose identities were not released pending notification of relatives, died instantly in the 7 p.m. crash in the 12700 block of San Fernando Road, just north of Polk Street, said a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
The two were traveling north on San Fernando Road when their cycle hit the back of the truck, the spokesman said. There were no other injuries, he said.
