Terry Allen has been named interim football coach at Northern Iowa, replacing Earle Bruce, who resigned last weekend.
Allen, Northern Iowa’s receiver coach, was the Panthers’ starting quarterback from 1976-78 and joined the coaching staff after he graduated. He still holds the school record for total passing and rushing attempts in a season, 397 in 1976.
