Chatsworth Man Hit by 2 Cars Dies
A 37-year-old man was killed Saturday after being hit by two cars as he ran across a Canoga Park street, police said.
Alfonso Vega Ayala, 37, of Chatsworth was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center after the 5:30 p.m. accident at Saticoy Street and Cozycroft Avenue, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Jim Thompson of the Valley Traffic Division. Ayala died an hour later, Thompson said.
Witnesses told police that Ayala was running across Saticoy Street when he was hit by a car traveling west, Thompson said. Ayala bounced off the car and landed in the eastbound lane of Saticoy, where he was hit by another vehicle and dragged about 100 feet, he said.
