Gang Link Probed in Southeast Slaying
A 31-year-old Southeast San Diego man was killed Friday night in what authorities believe may be a gang-related shooting.
Police officers found Patrick E. White lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds shortly after 10 p.m. in the 3800 block of Teak Street, Sgt. Nate Caplan said. White was taken to Sharp Cabrillo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses said White had been in an altercation with two men. The two men left and returned, allegedly shooting White, police said.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting but said the case may be gang-related. An investigation is continuing.
