The Southern California Assn. of Governments will conduct a forum on its plans for growth management, transportation and air quality at 10 a.m. Jan. 12 at the Azusa Woman’s Club, 1003 N. Azusa Ave.

The forum is designed to answer questions from residents, businesses, workers and elected officials in Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Covina, Duarte, Glendora, Irwindale, Monrovia, San Dimas and West Covina.

The proposed plans outline steps to bring more jobs to areas with affordable housing and more housing to areas rich in jobs, improve mobility by reducing commuter congestion through car pools, changes in work hours and other methods to attain cleaner air. A spokesman for the Southern California Assn. of Governments said the agency is seeking public comment because the plans would impose new regulations on business and would involve significant life-style changes.
