Pepperdine Plays Host to Boise State
Pepperdine, coming off a 102-80 loss at home to sixth-ranked North Carolina Tuesday night, will play host to Boise State at 7:30 tonight at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu.
The Waves have an 8-6 record.
Boise State (8-1), the defending Big Sky Conference champion, won last season’s conference tournament and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament. The Broncos are coached by Bobby Dye, former coach at Cerritos and Santa Monica community colleges, Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Bakersfield.
Dye’s team has been holding opponents to an average of 58 points a game. Boise State is led by 6-foot 3-inch forward Wilson Foster, who is averaging 13.6 points a game, and by two-time all-conference guard Chris Childs, who is averaging 13 points and nearly 5 assists.
