CS Long Beach Travels to CS Fullerton for Big West Conference Game Tonight

Cal State Long Beach and Cal State Fullerton both will be trying to get back on a winning track when the teams meet in a Big West Conference basketball game at 7:35 tonight at Fullerton’s Titan Gym.

Long Beach is coming off a 97-76 loss to Nevada Las Vegas Tuesday night and has lost 4 of its last 5 games, the win was against American University.

The 49ers (3-7) also lost to LaSalle, Texas and Alabama Birmingham in that stretch.

Fullerton (5-5) has lost 4 in a row, the past 3 by 7 or fewer points.

Cedric Ceballos, a Fullerton forward, leads the team in scoring with a 21-point average, but has averaged only 10 points over the last 3 games. Guard Mark Hill has been playing well lately, scoring 26 points in a loss to New Mexico State Tuesday night.

The 49ers’ Darrell Faulkner, a guard, leads Long Beach in scoring with a 13-point average, but center John Hatten has been the leading scorer the last 3 games, and is averaging 11 points. Guard Tyrone Mitchell, a transfer from Arizona State who became eligible 3 games ago, has started since then and is averaging 10 points and 5 assists.
