Two new drama series were added to the ABC prime-time schedule Tuesday as the network reshuffled its lineup to eliminate the Saturday-night movie block.

The new shows are “A Man Called Hawk,” a spinoff from “Spenser: For Hire” that stars Avery Brooks, and “Studio 5B,” a “Broadcast News” imitation about the people who run a network morning program.

ABC’s new Saturday schedule as of Jan. 28 will be “Mission: Impossible” at 8 p.m, “A Man Called Hawk” at 9 p.m. and “Murphy’s Law” at 10 p.m. “Studio 5B” will premiere Jan. 29 in the 8 p.m. Sunday slot now occupied by “Mission: Impossible.”

In another development Tuesday, ABC said that Christina Ferrare, already the co-host of “AM Los Angeles” on KABC-TV Channel 7 and the network’s “Incredible Sunday,” will replace Sandy Hill as co-host of the daytime “Home” program. Her first appearance with Robb Weller will be Monday, when the weekday show expands from 30 minutes to one hour a day.

ABC did not offer an explanation for the change in personnel.
