Harold Jay Golub, a financial adviser who once handled the money of about 70 professional athletes or managers, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in Phoenix and ordered to pay $163,600 in restitution for stealing money from some of them.
Golub, 42, pleaded guilty to one count each of theft and fraudulent schemes and practices.
