A 90-year-old La Jolla resident was killed Monday afternoon as she tried to cross La Jolla Boulevard, police said Tuesday.
Madge Anne Capstick was crossing in the 6300 block of La Jolla Boulevard and Mesa Way at about 5 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle driven by Kimberly Yunker, 19, of San Diego, who was southbound , authorities said.
Capstick was pronounced dead at the scene, Deputy Coroner George Dickason said.
