50-1 Longshot Wins at Los Alamitos

Sovereign Mine, a 2-5 favorite, and 50-1 longshot David Cupid won two divisions of the California Sires Stakes Elimination races held Wednesday at Los Alamitos Race Course.
Sovereign Mine easily won the first division, for the fourth victory in a row in five lifetime starts.
In the second division, Davids Cupid upset 1-5 favorite Sacramento Storm by three-fourths of a length.
The win payoff was $111.80.
