A San Diego woman suffered a seizure and drove off a cliff in Malibu, but was rescued by a sheriff’s deputy and another man, officials said. Renee Soudier, 26, was driving on Topanga Canyon Road north of Pacific Coast Highway about 2:30 p.m. when her car plunged off the cliff, coming to rest precariously on boulders 20 feet below. The car was still 30 feet above the creek bed, and in danger of falling farther. Deputy John Benedict saw the incident and with the help of a Malibu resident, Maurice Bourget, 35, was able to rescue Soudier. The woman was listed in fair condition at Santa Monica Hospital Medical Center. It was not immediately known what type of seizure Soudier suffered.
